Artist - Cut (Album) Label Tennessee's Fiddlin' Bob Douglas passed away on May 2, 2001 at the age of 101. Bob recorded with the Allen Brothers during his long career. In the 1940s, Bob also gave the Louvin Brothers (then known as Charlie and Ira Loudermilk) their first paying jobs as part of his band, The Foggy Mountain Boys (his use of this band name preceded the use by Flatt & Scruggs by a few years). He won many fiddle contests, including wins over Clayton McMichen and Lowe Stokes.
