The Other Side Of The Tracks Playlist
February 15, 2001
hosted by Dag Weiser
This show was dedicated to the countless musicians that didn’t even get mentioned on the Ken Burns jazz documentary, much less covered in any way. Never mind the great but virtually unknown outside artists like Alan Silva, Burton Green, Milford Graves or Arthur Doyle. The folks on this show are well known, even mainstream in certain jazz circles. Awesome influential musicians, yet not deemed worthy by the Branford Marsalis’s of the jazz world, and I barely scratched the surface. Someday I hope that this wrong is righted.
