  • Tonight’s program is a tribute to Max Roach and Martin Luther King, Jr. January 10 was the 79th birthday of percussionist Max Roach, who has been a leading force in jazz and other creative music for over half a century. January 15 is the 74th anniversary of the birth of Reverend King, who was assassinated April 4, 1968.
