KUSP is an independent community based nonprofit broadcast voice serving the Central Coast of California. We engage, inform and entertain our audience by providing a distinctive and thoughtful mix of news, public affairs, arts and music programming.

| KUSP's Vision
|
| We envision public radio as a vital part of the lives of Central Coast residents, with KUSP as their first choice for public radio programming. Our programs will engage listeners in the civic and cultural life of the communities in which they live and work. In turn, the civic and cultural institutions of our communities will be enriched by the engagement of our listeners. We advance towards this vision by creating and presenting a broad range of programming reflecting a multitude of perspectives. In doing so, we help our listeners understand and appreciate the Central Coast’s rich cultural diversity. We accept the responsibility of providing our listeners with a full and fair discussion of the events and ideas shaping our world, locally, nationally, and internationally; this will empower them to participate effectively as citizens in a democratic society. We also recognize the importance of balance in life and the essential place the arts and music hold in the human experience. We envision KUSP as a gateway to a world filled with artistic and musical expression, and a reliable guide to the most significant musical and artistic achievements our listeners can enjoy.
